Day 5 and it is my turn again. Well, it is supposed to be his turn, but he has a late night of work and so we are flip flopping days. Um, did I mention I am tired? Lol, keeping up with my toddler, work, housework, teenager, and the stress of my blood pressure is too much. The good new is my hubby’s grandfather is home from the hospital. They are keeping a close eye on him though. I have a plan for tonight though; dinner out, coffee and walking at the mall, then I will give hubby a massage to get things going. Seriously, the massage is effort on my part. I hate giving them, I know it is selfish, but it hurts my hands and is exhausting. But it has been a long week and I know hubby’s back is killing him. Yesterday was kind of a crazy day … this morning has DEFFO been a crazy morning. David and I are flying back to NYC later today so that we can attend the wedding of his aunt Judy to her partner of 30+ years. Judy & Susan’s wedding tomorrow will be the third of our eight weddings this year … OY! Despite the frantic harriedness of our travel schedule, I am really excited for Judy & Susan’s wedding because I love them both so dearly … so this trip is deffo a labor of love.

I’ve been asked to curate the music for the wedding so I’ve been working on a couple of classical music playlists. I’ve been a bit stressed about the task because I really want Judy & Susan’s special day to be perfect. Still, I think I have the music ready to go … I just really hope they like what I’ve selected.

Today, obvs, will be a shorter work day for me because we fly out of LA in a few hours. I’ll be in NYC for the next few days so you’ll be hearing from me from there :) See you on the East Side!

Turns out, Real Housewives of Atlanta star NeNe Leakes has a lot more children running around than you're aware. Well, at 34, Damian Leakes isn't really a kid, but he is NeNe's stepson and one of the five kids never featured on the reality show. They are all the sons and daughters of Gregg Leakes, NeNe's soon to be ex-husband, and Damian has come forward to reveal their anger for being treat like they've been "non-existent" all these years - and spill a few secrets for revenge.

Seeing as NeNe has "become a household name with [their] last name," Damian and his siblings are looking for their fair shake at the spotlight. But why were they omitted from the family tree in the first place? Probably because they'd spill family secrets, like how their father met her at a strip club!

Yep, NeNe was a stripper! Gregg walked into a gentleman’s club near Atlanta one day and there he found her. Such a nice thing for a stepson to just blurt out, right?

There are apparently loads more skeletons in NeNe's closet, but what Damian is really after is the chance to have "closure" from being treated so poorly by his parents. He told sources:

“We need some closure. We need to know what did we do to cause this? What did we do to get Gregg to say ‘I’m going to abandon this family! I’m not going to try to be your friend or work with you or understand!’ We knew she [NeNe] didn’t like us– maybe he had too many kids. We didn’t know what her actual ordeal was. A TV show could be building process for Gregg and his kids because no one ever knew he had kids. There’s a lot of healing that needs to go on and a lot of animosity.”

Aaand there it is! Their own TV show. What else is there, really? Oh, and don't worry interested networks, he's already got the whole thing planned out. He wants to start the series off with a family intervention! He explains:

“It could start the healing process for all the kids…and maybe that could build back the trust with NeNe and help her and Gregg get back together. It could change him and her people, bring us all closer even if they decide to divorce, and finally break the ice and air it out. A lot of beautiful things can happen too in the midst of all the drama.”

Omg, there's your catch phrase, Andy Cohen! Better jump on this opportunity quick! Who wouldn't want to watch a gaggle of adult children fight about being neglected by their father and stepmother for the good of their career, when clearly these five gentle, kind-hearted, unselfish souls deserve better!

Colorado, Utah, Montana Wildfires Rage On As Thousands Are Displaced: 3 Ways To Help Jul 6th 2012, 18:56

The 12-day old wildfire that spread across Colorado and Utah destroyed neighborhoods, forcing 35,000 people out of their homes at its height.

Lightning strikes in southeastern Montana started fires that have burned 300,432 acres so far -- one of the nation's current largest blazes. But, just as Obama said, these trying times are bringing Americans together. People nationwide are working to bring in donations, and provide meals and shelter to those in need. Tryna join in on the effort? Samesies.

+ Help out the Red Cross.

The Red Cross has h-core helped the situation, opening 13 shelters in Colorado, Utah and Montana for displaced residents. The life-changing org has also provided Colorado residents with more than 33,000 meals and snacks, 3,600 health and mental health contacts, and 4,900 relief essentials. To help the Red Cross, you can:

+ Donate: online to provide relief and support to those in need. Or text REDCROSS to 90999 to make a $10 donation.

+ Volunteer: to drive people to and from medical appointments, transfer supplies, or help support other relief operations.

+ Text to Save the Children.

Save the Children has partnered with local communities in Colorado, Montana and beyond to help the most vulnerable affected group: children. This org is providing supplies (think strollers, cribs, diapers, etc.) for families, as well as resources for emotional recovery programs for kids. To help Save the Children, you can text the word WILDFIRE to 20222 to give $10 to Save the Children's relief efforts or donate online.

+ Buy some Wild Fire Tees:

These tees are SO COOL. All shirts are $20, with 100 percent of profits directly benefiting the Colorado wildfire victims. Some shirts induce serious chills with phrases like "Out of the ashes we will rise", while others make you lol, dropping lines like "Let's See Your Best Rain Dance" or "More Disco, Less Inferno". You can even choose to donate a shirt to a firefighter! Your money will go straight to Colorado Red Cross or Care and Share Food Bank AND you'll look reals trendy. I'll take four, por favor.

Oh, also, the people running this thing are unreal. They're all Colorado based designers or business owners with full time jobs dedicating any ounce of free time to this non-profit project.

Is A 'Hocus Pocus' Sequel On The Way? Jul 6th 2012, 20:00

If you're a child of the '80s and '90s and are asked what your favorite campy Halloween movie is, your answer will likely be "Hocus Pocus." The film followed three witches from the Salem witch trial days who sold their souls to the devil in order to stay beautiful forever. Pretty light stuff, right? But the movie managed to combine silliness with comedy in the way only '90s movies could, and ended up being one of the most beloved cult classics of that time.

Based on the fact that the movie is replayed every year around Halloween on the Disney Channel, it's fair to assume that the studio is a fan of "Hocus Pocus's" continued popularity as well. That's why it shouldn't come as a surprise (even though it does) that a new report from the folks over at Moviehole says that a sequel called "Hocus Pocus 2: Rise of the Elderwitch" is on the way.

Since it's been almost two decades since "Hocus Pocus" first hit theaters, it seems safe to assume that none of the movie's original stars will return to this project. After all, three witches played by Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker and Kathy Majimy don't have quite as much impact as they used to. Moviehole hears that "Rise of the Elderwitch" will focus on "a new cackling evildoer whose been unfortunately let loose again on suburban America." Is it safe to assume that she's the titular Elderwitch?

Rumor has it that the sequel is still in its early development stages, and we're sort of hoping it stays there. "Hocus Pocus" works because of its frivolity, campiness and obviously fake sets, and nothing that could come out of our CGI-heavy movie culture could quite recreate that. There was a certain naivety present in movies from the '90s that isn't around anymore, and we aren't really interested in a gritty reboot of the classic storyline like every other remake is nowadays.

R&B phenom Frank Ocean of Odd Future and silver fox journalist Anderson Cooper came out this week, each in his own way but both to outpouring support from family, friends, and fans alike.

"I have given some the mistaken impression that I am trying to hide something," Anderson said in an open and very matter-of-fact email to journalist Andrew Sullivan, "This is distressing, because it is simply not true…The fact is, I'm gay, always have been, always will be, and I couldn't be any more happy, comfortable with myself, and proud."

Frank Ocean took to his Tumblr, where his coming out was exactly what one would expect from such a talented lyricist: a poetic letter about his first love -- a man. "4 summers ago, I met somebody. I was 19. He was too. We spent that summer, and the summer after, together. Everyday almost. And on the days we were together, time would glide," Frank said. "It was my first love. It changed my life."

On the 4^th of July, Solange Knowles Tweeted about Frank's true "Independence Day."

Both Anderson Cooper and Frank Ocean have kept their sexuality on the DL for a while. Cooper because he believes it is a journalist's duty to share other's lives before his own, and Ocean, perhaps, because homosexuality is not yet widely discussed or accepted in the Hip Hop world. We salute them both, and hope that their openness and the outpouring of support from their friends and family will give more people the courage to be who they are.

10 coming out tips for those on the receiving end:

It takes a lot of courage for someone to come out to you--listen to all they have to say without interrupting, judging, tuning out or buying into stereotypes about LGBT people.
Tell them how pleased you are that they trusted you enough to share something so personal and congratulate them on the bravery it took to be so honest.
Let them know that you feel the same way about them as you always have and that nothing has changed (except that you can be even closer than before).
Ask questions and show that you are interested in learning about their feelings and experiences. Be respectful and stay away from personal issues (sex, HIV, etc.) unless they let you know it's okay.
If you are feeling uncomfortable or upset, be honest. Let them know you may need some time to process everything, but acknowledge that it is your problem to work out and not their responsibility.
Remember that you cannot and should not try to change them--you have an opportunity here to support, not to reform them.
Ask what you can do to support them or what they need from you right now.
Follow up. The coming out conversation should be the first of many. Continue to check in and ask questions over time.
Be open to socializing with their new friends and in a variety of settings, both LGBT and straight. Let them know that they don't have to compartmentalize their lives.
Be an advocate. Read up on LGBT issues, wear an LGBT-friendly button or sticker, join a GSA or other LGBT group, and confront homophobia in whatever ways you can.
