SINOPSE:

A história gira em torno dos Gallaghers, uma família da classe operária de Chicago que precisam lidar com a crise econômica americana. Macy interpreta um alcoólatra, pai de seis filhos, casado com uma mulher que o troca por outra mulher. família se mantém unida graças à filha Fiona (Emmy Rossum, de Mystic River), jovem de 18 anos que se divide entre cuidar dos 5 irmãos e irmãs, tentar manter o pai sóbrio e ainda descobrir uma forma de seguir seu próprio caminho. No elenco também estão Steve Hawey, Shanola Hampton (de Miami Medical), Jeremy White e Justin Chatwin (de Dragonball Evolution), além de Allison Jenney (de The West Wing), em participações semirregulares. A produção é da Warner Brothers em parceria com a John Wells Productions com roteiro adaptado por Paul Abbott, autor da série original.
